Merry Christmas, y'all!
My Christmas was uneventful... Although I guess I didn't drop enough hints that I wanted Pirates of the Carrabean for Christmas because I didn't get it... my MOM did... Grr... Oh well, my sister gave me a gift certificate to Suncoast, so that's where I'll be heading Saturday... after I FINALLY go see Return of the King with Mom.
So after breakfast and dinner with the family and watching some of Dad's new train DVD's (Dad's into trains), I came home and watched my new copy of Stir of Echoes...
That one of those deja vu movies for me... I caught the end of it on TNT one night and I could have SWORN I'd seen it before... Except I knew I hadn't seen it before... Very weird...
OH! I almost forgot! Here's a picture of us NOT burning my parents' house down!!

Crazy? Me? Most definately!
So I'm driving to work this morning. I get to the intersection of Hollywood and Highland and I see these weird cob web-like things streamed along Hollywood Blvd. It turns out that they're bras. Hundreds of bras strung along Hollywood Blvd. by a local radio station to promote breast cancer awareness... weird...
Of course the big question of the morning is: How many fire engines does it take to put out a measly apartment fire. I'd been wondering for a while when that ugly green apartment building behind the Chinese theater was going to go up in flames.... And it did! ...Or at least it started to... The fire wasn't actually that big. Just a lot of black smoke coming out of the roof from what I could tell. It turns out though, that my answer to this question is about 20... at least... There may have been more up on
Franklin... I can't see through the trees.

So... 25 really isn't starting to look too bad... I'm still going to need massive quatities of alcohol tomorrow, but that will come tomorrow, when I'll be donning my bar wench persona and hosting my own birthday bash. Food, drinks and music... there's little better.
My twin sent me a virtual card to let me know that she's still alive. Gods, I miss her. Things have been so hectic lately... for the past year, anyway that we haven't even spoken. She's off doing the responsible, married, adult thing while I'm running wild and running amuck... running into things, maybe...
On a happier note, I took care of my stock options today. In a few days, I'm gonna have a nice chunk of change... YES!!!
Finally, my review is pending but all I have to say about Star Wars right now is that YODA KICKS SOME SERIOUS ASS!!!

Esowolf and a bunch of people are supposed to be coming over for a gypsy/ren faire party tonight... Problem is... they're not here yet. So now I'm sitting here bored and downloading software updates....

My parents have found out about my financial problems... One of my creditors actually called THEM looking for me... This is not how I would have them finding out about my shit... Actually, I would have prefered that they didn't find out at all, but the shit's hit the fan and to tell the truth, they're actually not giving me too much shit about it.
It's weird, it seems like they are finally getting it that they can't go hanging every little thing I do over my head because all it's going to do is push me away.
It's just weird though... but in a good way...
I also told them about my plans to go back to school. They keep bugging me about how much someone in the cooking industry makes on average. I told them the truth: I didn't ask. Of course I didn't tell them that I don't particularly care about that at the moment.... I also didn't tell them that my new goal in life is to become a tavern wench, but hey... They can't know everything, right?

So what does any self-respecting single girl do as Valentine's Day dawns? Well, if the girl is me, she spends 20 minutes hanging a sword at 8 in the morning. With all the time I've spent pounding nails into the wall, I'm sure that my neighbors aren't too happy with me. One of the down sides of apartment living.
Arrrggghhh.... This holiday can be over any time now... The one day of the year when being single sucks. As for me, I'm just going to go home, pop in my copy of 3x3 eyes and veg out on the couch... There's nothing like watching a guy get repeatedly dismembered for the demon he loves to make you feel better.
I may even open a bottle of wine...
