The world isn't black and white, people. There are greys and all shades of colors blending together to create a tapestry of light and dark.
But still, time goes on and still, people insist on blaming other people, other beliefs and other things for their own mistakes and arrogance.
The clothes one wears, the things one believes, the music one listens to, the programs one watches, the games one plays; these things do NOT make one a bad person!! These are all just things, they alone have no proven sway over a person's behavior.
Look at me, for example:
I wear a lot of black. Why? Because it's a color that I feel most comfortable in. Is it a bad thing to wear black? Please!! If black were such a bad color, priests wouldn't be wearing it. It is not the fault of the color black that "bad" connotations have become associated with it.
I also wear a trench coat! Oooooooooooo!!! I am such a bad person! There is nothing wrong with wearing a trench coat. They are warm, they protect more than just a person's top half from the elements, and some, like mine are reasonably waterproof. Now does that make them bad? NO!! I am not about to freeze my butt off just because the only coat I own happens to be of the trench persuasion.
I am, occasionally, considered something of a goth. Why? Mostly because I wear a lot of black. Now, am I a bad person? The term "goth" has changed so much over the centuries that defining someone by that term doesn't always make that person bad. Or were the ancient Goths terrible people as well? Should we tear down all the gothic castles and churches in the world simply because to call something "goth" means it's bad? I think not. Besides, I think many of the world's historical societies might have a few things to say in the matter.
What else... OH!! I game! I play Fantasy Role Playing Games; I am such a bad person. It's just a bunch of people acting. The only difference is that there's a lot more of them and very few of them actually get paid to do it. Now, I may be mistaken, but it's been at least a century or two since acting was considered a thing of evil.
I'm a pagan. I'll stop right there, you've already heard me speak on religion.
I also, like a lot of people, watch violent television, play violent video games, and listen to violent music. Does that make me a bad person? Is my mental health going to suffer because of what I watch, play and listen to? NO! These are things I've done all my life. I know the difference between fantasy and reality (though some disagree with that) and even if I did suffer from some extreme mental problems (which I don't) I wouldn't need such things as these to give me ideas. I could just watch the evening news. Or, better yet, I could come up with ideas all on my own.
There's a point to all of this: STOP BLAMING EVERYONE AND EVERYTHING ELSE
FOR YOUR OWN PROBLEMS AND START TAKING SOME RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE THINGS YOU
DO AND HOW THEY AFFECT EVERYONE ELSE!!!
